Nike Pushes Ahead with Layoffs in Fresh Business Realignment

Nike is planning another round of layoffs, affecting fewer than 1% of corporate staff, as CEO Elliott Hill works to overhaul the company’s structure and refocus on sports and culture. The cuts, which follow February’s 2% staff reduction, are part of Hill’s effort to undo his predecessor’s shift toward lifestyle-driven categories and instead build “sport-obsessed teams” across Nike, Jordan, and Converse. Employees will learn their status by Sept. 8, with most changes effective Sept. 21, as Hill aims to reignite innovation, stabilize sales, and strengthen ties with athletes and consumers.
Spirit Airlines Back in Bankruptcy

Spirit Airlines has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time in less than a year, as high costs and weak U.S. travel demand continue to weigh on the country’s largest budget carrier. The airline, which previously avoided deeper cuts, now plans to shrink its network and fleet in a bid to save hundreds of millions annually while assuring customers flights will continue. With mounting losses, a failed JetBlue takeover, and rivals circling its market share, Spirit’s latest restructuring is set to be tougher than its last, putting more pressure on workers and testing whether the low-cost giant can survive long term.

In this book you’ll learn:
Why entrepreneurs need to update their LinkedIn profile (only 50% do so it's a great opportunity to stand out)
How to connect with prospects and grow your business faster using LinkedIn
Take inspired action by updating your LinkedIn profile
Tip of the Day
Revenue follows attention.
If people don’t know you exist, they can’t buy from you. Spend as much time on distribution as you do on creation.
