The partnership includes a manufacturing alliance, with Toyota set to produce powertrain components for Joby’s aircraft as they move toward commercial operations. Starbucks Expands Coffee Farm Portfolio to Tackle Climate Challenges

Starbucks has invested in two more coffee farms—one in Costa Rica and its first in Guatemala—aiming to safeguard its coffee supply from climate change. The coffee giant, which already owns a farm in Costa Rica, plans to use these farms to study hybrid coffee varieties that are more productive and resistant to climate-related threats like coffee leaf rust. Rising temperatures and weather disruptions have impacted global coffee production, leading to higher prices and supply shortages. Starbucks intends to develop sustainable farming practices and share these innovations with other farmers to protect future coffee yields.
